This tiny gun is extremely difficult to operate in hectic situations, mainly because one cannot get a substantial grip on its rather un-ergonomic frame. But, it is cheap and plentiful.

Merr-Sonn's entry for an Imperial contract lost, and went into the civilian market. Most of the punch the weapon had was restricted and reduced, and the price fell.

Best gun for the money. Fairly accurate, easy to operate, and one's hand grips it snugly. The charge-cartridge is again heel mounted and just clips on and off.

One of the more prolific guns in the galaxy, BlasTech's standard pistol has all that it needs to excel: good weight, balance, accuracy, and ruggedness. (As seen with Luke Skywalker in Empire Strikes Back.)

A very elegant-looking weapon, Seydersol-Rand's pistol uses the same cartridge fitting as the HSB-200, except mounted beneath the barrel. This again allows easy reloading, and the pistol is known for its near-perfect operation.

Norcor took BlasTech's popular DL series one step further by building the Xi series of composite materials. This made the gun more robust and slightly harder to detect by older security systems. The XiX is known a reverberating, hollow sound when it fires.

Constructed completely of chrome and silver, the long-barreled IR-5 is the most accurate pistol in the galaxy. Rather common and somewhat old, the M44 isn't terribly well attributed, but does fire a small, thin, high-velocity blaster bolt. (As seen with Luke Skywalker when Force-pulled off Jabba's guard in Return of the Jedi.)
Merr-Sonn M434 Cycle-Action	5D+1	9	-2	A	60	8	blaster
The makers of the M44, to keep up with modern weaponry, altered the original design to incorporate a blow-back cycle that increases weapon power and effectiveness dramatically.
Draerien Defence Co. DD6	4D+1	8	-2	-	90	9	blaster
Best gun for the money. By some means, more than likely illegal, the Alliance managed to equip their officers with the DD6 and it became the standard favorite. (As seen with Leia Organa in Return of the Jedi)

Using the DL series body, BlasTech added more punch with a heavy compression chamber, so that while the gun takes a bit longer to "warm up", it doesn't lose any of its positive qualities. (As seen with Han Solo in all three films).
SoroSuub DY-255 Trooper Pistol	5D	9	-2	A	35	9	blaster/stun
Copying BlasTech's DH-77 pistol under contract, the DY-255 is in widespread use by security and military forces throughout the galaxy, including the Empire. (As seen with the Tantive IV Rebel guards, and with the Detention Block officers in A New Hope)
Flash-4	4D+2	8	-2	-	55	9	blaster
An almost archaic weapon, at least in appearance, the Flash 4 has become a trusted friend of periphery gunslingers and mavericks throughout space. While it may not pack an enormous punch, it has a substantial magazine and charge capacity, and a reliable track record in that it doesn't break much.
Kylan 3	5D+1	9	-2	A	30	8	blaster/stun
Not as well known as the larger manufacturers, Kylan Industries prefers to deal with independent nations and organizations. Their "3" type gun is well reputed for near-worry free operation and great balance. Often, the "3" is boasted to be hand-cannon.
Epel'jaken "Razor"-series MX	5D+1	9	-2	A	30	8	blaster
A standard-issue sidearm for Imperial security forces, the MX is a black, bulky looking pistol with a silver flash suppressor at the end of the barrel. It possesses a substantial punch, able to at least knock down a target in a single, well-aimed shot. Epel'jaken produces these weapons under Imperial contract.
